According to Construction Regulation 7(1)(b), all Principal Contractors and Sub- Contractors are to have a complete and comprehensive health & safety file on site at all times during construction or similar operations. This will also be relevant to various other industry types such as schools, motor workshops, warehouse environments etc. These files need to be presented to a department of labour inspector, client, client agent or a contractor upon request at any given moment on the work site or similar operations mentioned above in order to avoid fines, penalties and site- or operational stops and shut- downs.
